About HUM
The name Hum is a sound current. It is a seed (bija) sound and it means total Spirit or “we” the collective. It is a primal sound and the sound of the 5th or throat chakra making it a sound of creative expression, community and energy. It energizes the body & removes negativity. Just saying Hum, creates a soothing vibration in your nervous system to deconstruct stress. It is our mission to create a buzz, an inner movement, shift & revolution to raise the collective frequency by raising up the individual. We want to teach people that you can live, work and play with depth, connection & a high vibe. That you can break barriers of a cultural stress construct. Your life is a work of art & we want you to make a masterpiece. We think everyone can be a better human and we have some high voltage technologies to teach you how.
Our Location isn’t just any location……
East Aurora is an energetic hot spot. If you live here, you know it., you feel it. It took one moment for me to fall in love with EA and 17 years to move here. In 2019, I relocated with my family, my business, my heart & my soul here to this iconic western New York village. East Aurora is known as the birthplace of the American Arts & Crafts Movement. Elbert Hubbard and the Roycrofters were creative thinkers & revolutionaries way beyond their time. In fact Elbert Hubbard advertised that his retreats would “Disturb The Ether.” The greatest minds, disrupters, inventors and millionaires of their time all visited The Roycroft & the Campus at the turn of the century to catch some creative vibes. This village is a literal vortex of energy, located on a ley line (ley lines are thought to connect important, sacred & historical sites & landmarks throughout the world with electromagnetic energy), sacred symbols, geometry, & mysticism abound here. Practicing yoga & meditation in energy vortices like East Aurora amplifies your own energy in a potent & powerful way. You can use this space to your (r)evolutionary advantage. Roosting in the upstairs loft of a refurbished barn on Main St, The Center for Wellbeing part of East Aurora Acupuncture, boasts a beautiful picture window, candle-light & tons of greenery in a large comfortable studio space. Hum has landed in this creative powerhouse of a community, amongst inspiring artisans & businesses to teach you how to invigorate your life & achieve your potential through Kundalini Yoga & Sound Healing. We want everything about you to hum with possibility.

Studio Vibes
Disconnect to Connect: Please silence cell phones, and other devices.
Conscious Community: Please feel free to communicate, share, ask questions, make mistakes & make friends. This is YOUR community, you’re a co-creator.
Stay for The Gongs: Savasana or Relaxation is an integral part of yoga. Dare I say, it ISN’T yoga without it. Please stay for relaxation, we always play live gongs - just saying. And if you can’t, well, you can’t. No Guilt. Seriously.
*See It’s Your Time. If you are late to class, just be quiet, quietly tune in, get centered and chill out. You arrived. Do Not Apologize.
Use scent sense please. Strong scents/ perfumes are very personal to each individual so keeping aromas neutral is best for everyone.
Begin where you Are: Please, I’m begging you, just start where you are. I promise you will grow into your breath, into your pose & into your wonderful self. Please Please Please don’t force yourself to be somewhere you’re not yet. You’re like a lovely lump of clay, this is the fun part, working with yourself, exploring and opening up.
Whoever you are, whatever you’re into, you are welcome. If you’re willing to try the practice we are at your service. There is no need to change you, any transformation you seek will unfold as it is supposed to. There is no right or wrong way to be spiritual.
It’s Your Time. If you can arrive a few minutes early great, it gives you space to set up, check in, etc. However, you’re most likely an adult & you manage adult things & you get here when you can. If you’re late (no matter how much) you can jump into class (you’ll still have to pay full price) but sometimes, you just need it, at weird times, in times of crisis, or just in forgetfulness and you should have access to it.
